Assigning Members to a Group

A group can contain monitors or other groups. This is determined by its “Contains” property.

To assign members to a group:

  1. Click Groups Manager on the Reveille Admin console toolbar. The Groups Manager window appears.
  2. Click Assignments on the Groups Manager toolbar. The Group Assignments window appears.
  3. In the Group drop-down box, select the Group to which you are adding members. To select multiple items, press and hold [Ctrl] as you click each one.
  • The columns that are displayed in the Group Assignments window---either Available Monitors/Assigned Monitorsor Available Groups/Assigned Group---are determined by the “Contains” property of the Group you select.
  • The list of Available Groups or Monitors is determined by the “Type” property of the Group you select. For example, if you select “Group A” and its “Contains Group Type” property is set to “State,” then only groups of that type will be displayed in the Available Groups list box.
  1. Click the Right Arrow to move your selection(s) to the Assigned Groups column. (You can also double-click an item to move it to the other column.)
  2. Click Close to save your changes. Note that you cannot “undo” your changes; you must manually return your selections to their former state.
